TECERIS APPOINTS DAMIAN GLYNN,  JOHN ARMSTRONG, SARAH BAKER

Teceris, the market leading, high end loss-adjusting expert, has appointed Damian Glynn as head of financial risks and John Armstrong as head of its Midlands region. The appointments build on Terceris’ strong track record in the technical and large claims arena.

Stewart Steel, managing director of Teceris, said: 'Damian Glynn brings with him a career spent exclusively in major business interruption and financial loss claims since 1993. At Teceris he will have ultimate responsibility for business interruption, fidelity guarantee, professional indemnity and other financial claims. He will also lead our litigation team, providing support to insurers and other clients.

“John Armstrong joined the loss adjusting profession in 1985 and has since dealt with many high profile claims, including riot claims for the police authority and losses arising from the bombing of St Mary’s Axe and Bishopsgate. He has also worked for more than ten years on behalf of the National Trust, has provided ‘expert witness’ testimony for listed buildings and, as an expert on ecclesiastical buildings, advised on major fires at Coventry and Peterborough cathedrals.

“These two appointments reflect our strategy of making Teceris the employer of choice for claims professionals” Stewart continues. “ Our focus on technical quality is attractive to professional adjusters who wish to continue to use their technical and people skills and indeed to work with other practitioners who share their philosophy of providing quality of service. We shall continue to develop a market-leading service based around quality recruitment and ,importantly, the development of the next generation of professionals directly into the arena of complex and major loss adjusting. Over the past decade, the loss adjusting profession has experienced a net loss of expertise, particularly at the top end, and at Teceris we aim to reverse this.'

Sarah Baker has joined the complex and high end loss adjuster Teceris, part of Capita Insurance Services. Sarah will be based in the Birmingham office. She has extensive experience handling large and complex claims, in the UK and abroad, particularly in the Caribbean.

Sarah has dual accountancy and adjusting qualifications and has worked for several international adjusting practices specialising in large and complex insurance claims, including as a Consultant to the United Nations Compensation Commission.
