Capita Insurance Services announces that it has agreed an alliance with The Claims People Group Plc. Under the arrangement The Claims People Group Plc will provide volume loss adjusting services and support to Capita's corporate and complex loss business, Teceris. As part of this development, six volume Liability claims handlers will transfer from Teceris to The Claims People Group in the next few weeks.

Dermot Joyce, Executive Director, Capita Insurance Services says: "This deal reflects a general market acceptance that volume and complex loss adjusting are distinct and that they require substantially different approaches. Teceris is committed to being the best run and best qualified corporate and complex loss adjuster in the UK. The Claims People Group will be an alliance partner in the volume loss adjusting arena to support us with our existing workload as well as work alongside us as we grow our business. Barry Whyte and his team at The Claims People Group have a compelling business model, work well with our people and have proven themselves to be a reliable partner. This is a sensible and mutually beneficial move for both firms."

By partnering with Capita we can now offer a seamless, end to end service that we believe will ultimately outperform the traditional adjusting houses on both quality and price."

It is also announced that Teceris is recruiting ten specialist loss adjusters to join the business over the course of the next four months. These include a number of people from GAB Robins Construction and Engineering and Specialist Liability operations together with other industry recognised major loss and BI experts from the UK market place.

Teceris continues to build its expertise and enhanced its reputation within the complex loss adjustment arena. This has been further illustrated this week following its appointment to the handling of a substantial, multi million major loss in the north of England.
