Capita Insurance Services has launched an accredited course for fraud investigators with the University of Teesside.
The year long investigator accreditation programme aims to equip staff with accredited training for their own personal development. Capita also wants to provide a legitimate and measurable benchmark of investigators' competency for the benefit of customers.
In addition to providing staff with broad-based, in-depth knowledge about fraud investigation and management, the course also addresses the ethical and professional dimensions of the role.
Les Dobie, training and development manager of Capita's investigations service, said: 'The course is about bringing professionalism to an area that has lacked consistency and recognisable standards in the past.'
